The Taj Lake Palace is a white marble and mosaic structure located in the middle of Lake Pichola Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. The 83-room palace has 17 suites and was built in 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, 62nd successor to the royal dynasty of Mewar – believed to be descendants of the Sun God.
The Taj Lake Palace occupies a four-acre island. Guests arrive by water transport.
