Shoe-Shaped Churches

This Taiwanese Church is Shaped Like a High Heeled Shoe

Work has just finished on an unusual Taiwanese Church that is built in the shape of a high heeled shoe. Made up of 320 planes of blue-tinted glass and measuring 36 feet wide, this supersized chapel is unlike any other church in the world.

The shoe-shaped chapel is located in Ocean View Park in Budai, Taiwan. Unlike other churches in the area, this particular establishment is designed in the shape of a gigantic high heeled shoe, which closely reassembles that of Cinderella’s glass slipper. The idea behind the church was to attract more women by taping into their favorite type of footwear. In addition to the fashion-forward exterior, the church is also equipped with 100 separate features that are designed to appeal specifically to women.

Whether the shoe-shaped exterior will attract more women to the Taiwanese church remains to be seen, however the unique design certainly serves as an unbelievable architectural feat.
