Now everyone with an iPhone can become a photojournalist thanks to the new Tackable app. The Tackable app is a new app that is connected to 34 newspapers in the San Francisco Bay area. Those papers each post assignments for breaking news stories which app users can then photograph and upload.
The Tackable app puts journalism into the hands of ordinary citizens and is a great way to get instant news. The app is currently in beta testing, but Tackable's founders would like to see it expand across the globe. The 24-hour news cycle is about to become the 24-second news cycle. Brace yourselves.
