The 'Sylvascope' Treehouse is Made Using Felled Trees

The 'Sylvascope' treehouse has been created by Harewood in partnership with Sebastian Cox as a structure in the UK on the woodlands of Harwood House that puts a focus on conservationism. The treehouse is constructed using felled trees and is reported as something of a radical act that is intended by Cox to increase awareness about biodiversity. This is due to the increasing number of trees in UK woodlands which is positive, but also prioritizes tree planting over herb or bramble growth.

Cox explained the 'Sylvascope' treehouse further saying, "We are planting trees at a rate not seen before in history. The area of woodland in Britain is now back at the level it was in the 14th Century. Despite this, biodiversity within woodlands is declining. How do we save our woodland wildlife? It seems not necessarily by planting more trees–we need to manage our woodland."
