Front Row Fan Photography

Sandy Carson Captures Die-Hard Fans at the SXSW Music Festival

Showing everyone who didn't make it to the SXSW music festival what the front row fans were feeling, photographer Sandy Carson takes us to Austin with his vibrant and lively photo series.

With thousands of bands and music fans coming together in Austin once again for the 2014 SXSW music festival, Austin-based Carson captures the dedicated crowds of fans in his new series 'We Were There.' Carson chose to focus on the fans this time instead of the bands that he has been photographing for the past eight years of his career.

He almost pays homage to these dedicated fans who are able to get themselves to the front row by pushing and shoving to be as close as they can to their band of choice.
