Sustainable Decadence is a wind-powered hot tub and spa made from reused wood and scrap. Sustainable Decadence designer Ross Stevens was looking to find a way to combine his passion for spa treatments and his passion for sustaining planet Earth.
While Sustainable Decadence is a wind-powered installation that required Stevens to accumulate enough wood, metal and junk for its creation, he believes that the payoffs were well worth the effort. This design and others by Stevens challenge the notion that living sustainably equates to a less luxurious and enjoyable lifestyle. While the hot tub is made from reused wooden planks and old metal scraps that are decades old, this eco-friendly hot tub can generate up to 600 watts of energy to heat the water. Ross Stevens proves that living sustainably does not mean we have to sacrifice everyday comfort or pleasure.
