When you think about detoxing, a summer slaw is probably the last thing that comes to mind. Given most traditional coleslaw recipes include copious amounts of mayonnaise or fatty dressings, this perception makes a lot of sense. However, the blog With Food and Love is trying to change how you think about the popular barbecue side dish with this detox summer slaw recipe.
Containing lots of peaches and parsley, the recipe also calls for ingredients including a mixture of purple and green cabbage, scallions, olive oil, raw apple cider vinegar, pink himalayan salt, black pepper and sunflower seeds. The veggie medley can be garnished with avocado slices as well, giving the dish a little extra superfood power.
