When we talk about modern and stylish speakers, one’s mind automatically jumps towards tech that is slick and minimalist, possessing certain nods to contemporary aesthetics. The latest product by Sonos pushes the limits of this category in an attempt “to integrate audio componentry into the grander scheme of home décor.” To do so, the company partners with modern streetwear brand Union LA and the latest offering reaches aesthetic elevation thanks to designer Sheila Bridges.
The stylish speaker – dubbed the ‘Union LA Sonos One SL,’ draws inspiration from decorative Harlem Toile wallpaper. Through this, the design offers subtle nods to African American culture, while the speaker itself becomes unconventionally bold and eye-captivating.
