Studio Annettai Draws Inspiration from Beach Life in a New Project

Hong Kong-based architecture firm, Studio Anettai, has transformed a Vietnamese home into an airy and inviting restaurant. The space is home to Burger Bros, a beach-inspired restaurant located in the bustling city of Da Nang.
Da Nang is famous for its resorts and the architects played off of this beach/vacation aesthetic in their design. The original structure was very divided, and the architects chose to break down many of the existing partitions and walls in order to create a lofty-like and open concept aesthetic. The space is decorated with beach-inspired furniture and playful neon light fixtures.
The project was built during the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to a strict lockdown in Vietnam, the project was proceeded without the architect's ever visiting the site. The architect's used a 3D visualization tool in order to communicate with the construction company. The 3D tool turned out to be a useful communication tool as it helped overcome language barriers amongst the team.
