Phone-Charging Bus Stops

The 'Mito' Bus Stop Station is Outfitted with a Solar Panel for Charging

The 'Mito' bus stop station is a new, modern approach to bus stop designs that enables commuters to charge their devices while waiting for the bus.

The 'Mito' is crafted from wood and features a solar panel on the top portion that captures the energy of the sun throughout the daylight hours. Capable of charging up to eight devices at a time, the 'Mito' also provides a wireless Internet signal that will give users access to free connectivity while they charge and wait.

The 'Mito' bus stop station features an LCD display that displays a multitude of information pertaining to the route and station name as well as temperature and bus arrival time. The 'Mito' is the design work of the Art Lebedev Studio and has been implemented into the real world at Taksim Square in downtown Istanbul.
