The Dutch design team 'Visser and Meijwaard' have made the standard funeral affair less drab and impersonal by giving it a contemporary makeover. Instead of a daunting gray casket, this unusual installation features a brightly colored PVC coffin atop a simple oak frame. The casket is designed to make final moments with loved ones more peaceful and personal. To drive home this cheery message, the casket is surrounded by oversized, faux flowers and small ceramic installations.
