'Loft Diego' — which is a contemporary apartment in Porto Alegre, Brazil, enjoys a dominant and chic embellishment as local practice Arquitetura Nacional decided to set this staircase as a centerpiece to the aesthetic arrangement of the home. The result is truly striking as the spiraling, bold and black feature truly captures the eye, while its fluid form adds a sense of elegance that is quite agreeable to the modern movement in design.

Arquitetura Nacional attempted to create a space that was comfortable to live in but one that also exuded style in a minimalistic sense. The staircase as a centerpiece component is quite interesting in its construction. The piece is created through "folding and welding steel," while its base does not touch the floor as it is freely suspended from the upper story.
