Eric Standley, an artist based in Virginia, has released a new set of stained glass paper art. As insanely intricate as his original creations, it comes as no surprise that it took over a year for him to update his portfolio. Or, at the very least, for people to get wind of such an update. Stacks of paper were laser cut to become sculptural decor fit for an ancient European church.

The stained glass paper art was inspired by "the geometry found in Gothic and Islamic architectural ornamentation which he somewhat jokingly calls 'folk math,'" according to This Is Colossal. These stained glass paper art will be part of "Fold, Paper, Scissors" at the Mesa Arts Center in Arizona.
