ArcaMini recently announced the release of a square skateboard made for eco-friendly transport. While the company is largely known for producing rockets and spacecraft, its latest product is geared towards consumers looking for a more fun way to get around town.

The AcraMini is an electric skateboard with a square-shaped deck. While the device is heavier than the average skateboard, it has the unique ability to power riders along unassisted. Thanks to a built-in electric motor, the skateboard can reach top speeds of just over 12 miles per hour for a distance of about 12 miles. As the company explains, the unique design for the square skateboard was "inspired by aerospace rovers used for planetary exploration."
