The Spray Paint Can Armchair by Luigi Semerano Puts Empty Cans to Good Use

I imagine that when a street artist gets home from a long night of turning decaying building facades into beautiful works of art, he takes a load off in the Spray Paint Can Armchair. The Spray Paint Can Armchair was designed by Luigi Semerano for Milan Design Week 2011 and is comprised of over 200 empty cans of spray paint.

The cans are held in place by two wooden panels, and Semerano has even gone as far as to create a matching footrest. This chair is easily one of the most impressive pieces of upcycled art that I have ever seen. Unfortunately, like all great designs, the Spray Paint Can Armchair is (to my knowledge) a one-off meant to show off the skills of Mr. Luigi Semerano.
