Spot On, an inclusive menstrual tracker, is Planned Parenthood's first digital product, offering users the ability to track periods and manage their birth control.

The healthcare providers behind the digital platform acknowledged that the majority of fertility-based phone apps aren't reflective of the average user's needs. While most fertility apps are built to help women get pregnant, Spot On simply focuses on the overall health benefits of tracking one's cycle. From the casual dialogue to the color scheme, this app boasts inclusivity, ensuring it appeals to all gender identities and sexual orientations. The simple move to reject a pink colorway takes a step in the direction of gender inclusivity that's helping the app achieve a following of 2.4 million users.

As planned Parenthood's Jenny Friedler states, "We wanted to make sure the design—the copy, the emojis—had the feeling of, ‘We are here for you.'"
