Bite-Controlled MP3 Players

Split Earbuds Let You Control Music Using Only Your Mouth

"Groundbreaking" is probably the best word you can use to describe Gullwing Audio's Split Earbuds. Actually, Split is only an earbud in the sense that it affixes into your ear. The device is actually a standalone music player that you control with your mouth. The bite controls work as such: One bit skips the track and two bites controls the volume (low, medium, high and mute). Split can be locked by touching the right earbud.

The Split Earbuds are magnetic; detaching them causes your music to start playing. They keep in sync using high-precision crystal clocks. Split can hold up to 24 songs and has a battery (recharged via USB) life of four hours. Split Earbuds substantially cut the amount of radiation you are exposed to due to the fact that they don't use Bluetooth. Gullwing Audio is currently seeking $435,000 of funding on Kickstarter.
