Repurposed Industrial Plastic Waste

Autex Acoustics Develops the SpinFix Mounting System

Autex Acoustic has developed the SpinFix mounting system which is an adhesive-free structure for its acoustic panels crafted from manufacturing waste. The team developed the series to be showcased during this year's London Design Festival with recycled clips and fastenings for the acoustic sound panels. It is developed to reduce the use of adhesives so that they can be repurposed or recycled when they reach the end of their lifecycle.

WIthout the adhesives, the panels can be dismounted to serve other purposes or disassembled without causing any damage. The SpinFix design is made from RePET, which is a recycled material that is made from polyethylene terephthalate by recycling the leftover waste from the company's manufacturing process. It uses a mechanism that connects the clips without glue.
