Space-Efficient Flexible Packaging

APC Introduces Its Material-Saving FlexCube Pouch

American Packaging Corporation has introduced space-efficient flexible packaging through APC FlexCube, a cuboid-shaped pouch that accommodates more product while minimizing unnecessary air space. Unlike conventional flexible bags and rigid containers, its structured design improves storage efficiency while providing larger surfaces for product branding. The format also offers manufacturers greater flexibility in packaging presentation and material selection.

Depending on the application, FlexCube can use 30–40% less material than traditional flexible packaging. The pouches arrive flat before filling and can incorporate post-consumer recycled content or structures designed for recyclability. Potential applications include pet food, coffee, detergents, and nutritional products.

For manufacturers, the design could reduce packaging expenses and transportation requirements by limiting wasted space and material consumption. Retailers may also benefit from improved shelf organization, while brands gain additional opportunities to pursue sustainability goals without sacrificing packaging functionality.
