Royal Caribbean's 'SoundSeeker' Turns Photos to Music with AI

Royal Caribbean International is now introducing SoundSeeker as "a groundbreaking, patent-pending digital experience powered by artificial intelligence" that uses machine learning to translate the contents of a photograph into an original, shareable soundtrack.

With the AI-powered tool, users are able to upload three photos of their choosing, which will be analyzed based on colors, backdrops, emotion, bodily cues and more. While vacation memories are most often shared in the form of photos and videos, Royal Caribbean is out to show that fun experiences can be revisited in a multi-sensory format.

The creation of SoundSeeker involved reviewing hundreds of music tracks across many different genres and 10,000 photos, which are matched to one of 10 moods to create millions of unique creations for consumers to discover.
