The Solderdoodle is a piece of soldering equipment designed for techies and geeks constantly on the go who need to be able to do a bit of soldering every once in a while, without being burdened by batteries and chargers. The device, which is partially 3D printed, can be charged via a regular USB cable.
The Solderdoodle can be fully charged in three hours and can operate for several hours on a single charge. It uses a high-efficiency charge controller and is fitted with a standard soldering iron tip that can be easily replaced.
The makers of the Solderdoodle have taken to crowdfunding website Kickstarter to raise funds for further testing, development and production of the device. They believe that it's something the maker community has been looking for for a long time.
