In order to make a case for the benefits of solar power in the darkest days of Sweden's winter season, the energy company E.ON teamed up with M&C Saatchi Stockholm to create the ultimate solar-powered Christmas display.
The eye-catching light display was created for a real family home in the tiny Swedish town of Sölvesborg. Despite the fact that short winter days mean little time to gather solar energy, the team used E.ON's cutting-edge storage battery as a source of power. Using nothing but solar energy from the battery, the team manged to create a stunning light show set to the tune of 'For a Better Day' by Avicii. When fully illuminated, the show was so bright that it could be seen from miles away.
The solar-powered Christmas stunt cleverly reminds consumers that solar power is still a viable energy source, even in the dead of winter.
