Twitter is testing a feature that will allow users to snooze topics that they are disinterested in or do not want to view. In order to snooze, topics Twitter is using a machine learning system. With the new system being implemented, users are able to avoid a certain topic on their feed. Users could also elect to not see a certain topic temporarily, which could be beneficial for missed TV shows.

The new feature comes along with the broader effort to have users follow certain topics in order to create more engagement on the platform. Twitter is testing its new topics feature on Android devices. Twitter topics could be perfectly suited for users who would like to discuss sporting events from the platform. For example, users could elect to see Tweets from sporting events or any other live events to engage in a discussion.
