Our Lady Peace Releases a Single Through the S!ng App

S!ng is a developer "that allows creators to control distribution and monetize their work" and most recently, the company launched the S!ng app—a mobile-first, Ethereum-powered platform "designed to instantly mint NFTs to sell or license online. NFTs, or non-fungible tokens as they are called, are gaining traction in creative industries for it has great applications for protection of intellectual property.

Most recently, Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace hopped on the S!ng app bandwagon by releasing an additional single from its upcoming album, 'Spiritual Machines II,' are an NFT. Artists who are using the S!ng app will "be able to sell their content as NFTs instantly and get paid in cryptocurrency." Additionally, the option allows individuals to have better control over the licensing of their content.
