Futuristic Snakeskin Fashion

Brooke Roberts Moves 80s Prints Into the Future

Snakeskin prints have been taking on a futuristic twist in the hands of designer Brooke Roberts from East London. Taking her inspiration from the 1982 science fiction movie "Blade Runner," Roberts uses pointed angular forms and oversized shoulders in her creations.

The black and white snakeskin print mini dress has a high arching hemline terminating in razor-sharp points that draw the eye to the back of the knee. Wide shoulders and v-shaped cuffs complete the ultramodern look. Brooke Roberts’ red snakeskin jacket is highly structured with arching tuxedo-like tails and elongated v-cut sleeves.

Snakeskin does bring on a flashback to the 80s; however, Brooke Roberts has moved beyond retro and taken the print into the future of fashion.
