Samsung envisions the future of devices as hybrid smartphone tablets -- at least when it comes to the very near future. Its concept, which was announced earlier in the year, has been given a tentative launch date for next year. Essentially the Samsung smartphone tablet folds in order to boast the two-in-one feature.
Dubbed a "smartlet," the smartphone tablet will be have a 5-inch screen when it's in smartphone mode and a 7-inch tablet when the screen is unfolded. Interestingly enough, the screen will still work even when it is folded. Although some people might question the need for such a device, it does solve the problem of carrying around too many devices at once. A smartphone tablet consolidates technology for those who prefers to have options and alternatives at their fingertips.
