One of the problems with most smartphone photo printers is that they require either a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection, or a companion app to begin the printing process. The Printoss Smartphone Photo Instant Printer aims to remove these obstacles by functioning as both a scanner and a printer.
With the Printoss, users are able to place their phone over the device, using their phone's screen to show the exact photo that they want printed. Once this setup has been arranged, users are able to press the shutter button on the Printoss device to activate the instant printing of their photo.
Printoss creator Takara Tomy has plans to release the all-new device in fun colorways in the hopes of appealing to young consumers. The award-winning hybrid printer and scanner recently made its debut at the Tokyo Toy Show.
