The Smart Pacifier Lets Parents to Measure Their Baby's Temperature

BlueMaestro introduced the Pacif-i, a smart pacifier that allows parents to monitor their infant's health, at the Bluetooth Media and Demo Event for CES 2015.

The Pacif-i measures and communicates the infant's temperature to the parent's smartphone by using Bluetooth Low Energy. In fact, it also collects and plots the temperature data in a graph, which parents can then share with their healthcare professionals if they're concerned. Parents can also keep track of any medical information, such as when they last administered medication, as well as the type and dosage.

The smart pacifier comes equipped with a proximity sensor, alerting the parent to the child's whereabouts. If the child breaches the threshold of 20 meters, an alarm is activated.
