After extensive research, Equinox incorporates a sleep coaching program on its app, website and in in-person programs. The American luxury fitness company developed this feature, based on research that was conducted with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The groundbreaking 12-week study examined how different aspects of an individual's life affect exercise result, ultimately concluding that sleep coaching can, in fact, improve athletic performance. For example, the research pointed at an improved metabolic threshold by 29.8% in people that underwent sleep coaching and only 16.2% in the control group.
While Equinox will aid its members to a better lifestyle via its app and website, the company will offer "in-person fitness coaching program" — a package of six sessions, priced at $495. The initiative definitely brings an added touch of opulence to the luxury gym experience.
