LinkedIn has added skills assessments to its platform, which will consist of short multiple-choice tests that can be used to verify a person's knowledge in a certain area. LinkedIn created the skill assessments in order to allow people to communicate and present their own individual skill sets. The new feature has been released to the platform, and two million users have already taken some of the tests.
One of the tests on the platform will cover English skills that will test 75 different skills. All of the tests are free to take and will increase in difficulty as users progress through them. The company indicates that the tests were created with help from experts in each area.
Users can access the skills assessments by clicking a button in the skills endorsements section of the platform.
