Music has always been a brilliant means of bringing people together. The Sing! Karaoke Kiosk was set up as a way to unite the very diverse population of Vancouver, Canada, based on a collective appreciation for pop music.
The bright red stand could be found moving around city, set up on three occasions over a two week period. Interested passers-by could approach the box, select their desired language and choose from an extensive library of songs to belt out on the red carpet.
Participating in regular social karaoke takes a bit of courage, so it would be inspiring to see the brave performers step up to entertain crowds of strangers at the Urban Republic Arts Society's Sing! Karaoke Kiosk.
