The Silent Doorbell Concept Relies on Visual Cues

— October 15, 2025 — Art & Design
The Silent Doorbell concept has been designed as a solution for modern homes to provide users with a way to eliminate the occurrence of being disturbed by auditory alerts. The system is positioned as ideal for households with young children or dogs to prevent them from being disturbed and will communicate the presence of a visitor with a visual indicator. The system is imagined with multiple receiver units that are intended to be installed around the house to communicate with inhabitants no matter where they are.

The Silent Doorbell concept is the design work of David Kittle, Isaac Saldaña, Mauricio Sanin and Martin Townsend, and also takes the visitor's experience into account. The exterior transmitter will let them know that their activation of the doorbell was registered with the use of gentle light or haptic response.
