The need for water filtration systems is only showing signs of increasing on an international basis, so the 'Sift' Filtration System has been created as a solution for those in rural areas to utilize. The system consists of a vessel that is crafted from a mixture of sawdust and clay, while the filter is made from a semi-porous charcoal. This enables users to create their own water filters from materials they have available in their surroundings without having to use disposable plastic varieties that will only work to pollute their land.

The 'Sift' Filtration System is the design of Cody Moore and identifies how a common problem can be solved with the use of simple materials thanks to smart, sophisticated designs.
