Frozen Room Explosions

Los Carpinteros' Show Room Installation Shows Destruction From Every Angle

The duality of life and death, creation and destruction is shown in force during an explosion; that is why art installations like the Show Room are so captivating. It demonstrates the fragility of life in a cathartic manner, allowing people to revel in something that is less likely to happen in real life.

Created by the Los Carpinteros studio, which was founded by Havana-based artists Dagoberto Rodriguez and Marco Castillo, the Show Room art installation realistically depicts an imaginary blast that has been frozen in time. Visitors are able to appreciate the devastation from all angles, taking in broken furniture, walls and floating debris.

The Show Room art installation will surely make people grateful that they do not reside in war-torn countries.
