Social-First Local Shopping Schemes

Shop Local by Tiktok Shop Makes Homegrown Goods Accessible

Shop Local by TikTok Shop is a new initiative designed to support small and medium-sized businesses in the UK, and it was developed in response to research commissioned by TikTok Shop that revealed huge demand for British goods: 83% of people reported that they would be more likely to buy British produce if it were more widely available.

The TikTok community knows TikTok Shop as a place to find a wide range of products, from viral skincare solutions to kitchen gadgets, and this new scheme makes homegrown goods more accessible. TikTok Shop is investing £750,000 in support packages to help local British businesses that sell everything from vegetables, meat and dairy to baked goods. British businesses that focus on selling locally produced goods of all types are eligible to apply to the scheme—as long as they sell British goods, aren't currently trading on TikTok Shop and have less than 250 employees, they are eligible.
