The newly opened Shiseido flagship in Tokyo's Ginza Six shopping complex includes what the cosmetic company calls a "next-generation cosmetics counter with digital counseling mirror," both of which provide a highly interactive shopping experience.
When approaching the smart cosmetics counter, consumers will be intrigued to see that the station's imagery changes as they get closer. While standing in front of the counter, as they pick up a product, the digital screen will change to reveal product information and even encourage consumers to "try me!"
The Shiseido flagship also boasts a digital counseling mirror, with an intuitive touch system that makes it possible for a beauty consultant to easily run through a skin analysis and step-by-step skincare routine tailored to one's specific needs. When it's time to go, consumers are able to scan a QR code and transfer the information generated to their smartphone for later reference.
