Shift by Scholten & Baijings is Colorfully Minimalist

— January 24, 2012 — Art & Design
Shift by Scholten & Baijings is a minimalist cabinet that uses color in a stunning way to make it stand out from the crowd. Available in a range of solid or gradient colors in the Amsterdam-based design studio's signature neon and pastel hues, the two translucent doors interact in a fun and whimsical way. Carole Baijings explains, "When the doors move across each other, the colours mix, fade or are strengthened."

Designed for Dutch furniture brand Pastoe, Shift by Scholten & Baijings is set to debut during imm cologne this year. The cabinet, which is available in two widths and can be either frame or wall-mounted, is perfect for modern living room settings and contemporary workspaces.
