The Shibuya Upper West Project is an upcoming skyscraper set to be situated in the bustling Tokyo district to provide a bit of sanctuary for onlookers or inhabitants to revel in.
The building maintains a mixed-use design that will feature a series of retail areas, rental apartments, a luxury hotel and even arts & culture facilities. The skyscraper also incorporates a series of green terraces and a rooftop garden to provide lush areas for visitors or inhabitants to escape to throughout the day.
The Shibuya Upper West Project has been designed by the Scandinavian firm Snøhetta and is expected to be completed in 2027. The building will reach a maximum height of 540-feet, and will boast a ceramic and glass facade to elegantly shimmer against the cityscape.
