The Shazam App Can Now Identify Music Through Headphones

— June 11, 2019 — Tech
The Shazam app has broadened its functionality with the ability to identify music through headphones, this new feature will be coming to Android tablets and smartphones first, with no word of an iOS release. The new feature is called Pop-Up Shazam and it allows users to put a name to music that is playing around them, even music which the device is playing.

The Shazam app will be notifying users of what music is playing through bubble notifications, where users will be shown a notification similar to a chat icon, which will present the name of the song and the artist. Users can open the chat icon and be taken to the Shazam screen that will present information on the artist and how to access their music.
