Tech-Advanced Robotic Pool Cleaners

Dreame Spotlights Its Zircon 2 Series of Robotic Pool Cleaners

Dreame Technology has introduced the Zircon 2 series of robotic pool cleaners at DREAME NEXT in San Francisco. The range includes the Zircon 2 Pro and Zircon 2 Ultra, alongside the B2 Pro Automatic Charging Station. The brand has positioned these devices as a move toward fully autonomous yard maintenance.

The Zircon 2 Pro generates 8,000 gallons per hour of suction power, runs for up to four hours per charge, and uses a sensor system called PoolSense 2.0 with 12 sensors to map the pool and plan adaptive cleaning paths instead of moving randomly. When paired with the optional charging station, this model can be activated with a single tap in the accompanying app, after which it cleans, returns to the station, docks, and recharges without any manual handling from the owner. The premium Zircon 2 Ultra steps up to 10,000 gallons per hour of suction through a four-pump system and covers pools up to 4,300 square feet.

Autonomous Backyard Robotics
Fully self-operating yard devices promise to displace manual maintenance tasks by enabling continuous, schedule-driven cleaning and care with minimal human intervention.
Sensor-driven Adaptive Navigation
Advanced multi-sensor mapping and adaptive path planning open possibilities for precision cleaning that optimizes performance and reduces energy use compared with random or pre-programmed patterns.
Docking-and-charge Ecosystems
Integrated docking stations paired with app-based orchestration present opportunities for subscription models and remote fleet management centered on automated recharge-and-deploy cycles.

Sectors Adopting This

Residential Pool Services
The shift toward autonomous cleaners could redefine service offerings from manual maintenance visits to monitoring, analytics, and performance-as-a-service contracts.
Smart Home Platforms
Seamless integration of pool robotics into broader home automation stacks creates potential for unified environmental control and cross-device automation insights.
Outdoor Power Equipment Manufacturers
Traditional manufacturers of lawn and pool equipment stand to be disrupted by electrified, sensor-rich robotic products that prioritize software updates and connectivity over mechanical upgrades.
