McLaren is upgrading its 788-horsepower Senna supercar with a track-only version known as the Senna GTR. The new Senna GTR follows in the legendary footsteps set by the F1 GTR and P1 GTR, by combining incredible power with impressive aerodynamics. McLaren has boasted that the car will be able to post lap time comparable to Formula 1 cars, thanks to its improved aerodynamics which provide up to 2,200 pounds of downforce. The outrageous super car is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 which bumps the horsepower up to 814 and gives it more that 590-pound-feet of torque.
The design of the Senna GTR does not change much from the original Senna, but the few design changes are made to affect aerodynamics. The front fender, rear fender and doors have been redesigned for the carbon fiber body. The front and rear diffusers have been scaled up for track purposes and the Senna GTR also features new wheels.
