The new app, called 'With Me' is the latest development in an era of ever-advancing new technology that can help one cope with the loss of a loved one. The South Korean tech firm called ELROIS Inc. was inspired to create the app for "someone who has lost their family," spokeswoman Eun Jin Lim said. "From my personal experience, I had my grandmother before... and she passed away a few years ago, but I really regret that she passed away and we didn't have any pictures together," she added.
The app works by getting users to 3D scan their friends and relatives while they are still alive. Then, with the app, the user can continue to take pictures, and interact with, their loved ones even when they have passed on.
