Adobe's Newest 'Select Subject' Tool Uses AI to Make Editing Easier

Artificial intelligence has been implemented into a variety of different industry niches, and most recently, the tool is being leveraged to help photographers edit images in Photoshop, with a new AI-infused tool called "Select Subject."

The tool uses AI to pick out objects in the background of an image, making it easier for one to edit them out. Prior to this implementation, users had to manually select and trace the object they wished to edit out, which ended up being a time consuming and tedious process. The new tool only takes a few quick clicks and ultimately streamlines the editing process for both novice and seasoned Photoshop users.

The tool is also complete with machine learning capabilities, meaning the software will pickup a user's editing habits the more they interact with it.
