With IOT room designs and hybrid hotel formats that target the Millennial traveler, AccorHotels continues to push the boundaries of innovation within the realm of hospitality—and now, the French multinational hospitality company is using biometrics in Seeker by Le Club AccorHotels to pair people with their dream destination.
Seeker is helping to promote Le Club AccorHotels as a loyalty program that emphasizes highly personalized experiences. The tool uses a webcam or a smartphone's front-facing camera to measure one's heart rate and pinpoint the kind of travel that is likely the most appealing to a particular person. Seeker measures a variety of biometric reactions to images and experiences, ultimately determining whether one would be best suited to visiting somewhere rural or urban, family-friendly or romantic.
