Semi-Autonomous Sedans

BMW's New Sedan Features Automatic Steering, Braking and Speed-Shifting

German automaker BMW has gone ahead and added new technologies to its already impressive sedan series by unveiling its seventh-generation iteration of the BMW 5 Series. This is a vehicle whose basic features are better than the advanced features of many other cars, namely in the department of lane assist and cross-direction traffic alerts.

As far as the really high-tech features go, this mid-size sedan series features the option of autonomous steering, acceleration and braking at speeds up to 210 km/h, and it can even automatically change its speed to keep up with speed limits, with drivers retaining the ability to manually drive at up to 15 km/h above the speed limit.

This seventh-generation sedan series is an audacious effort by BMW to go ahead and embrace autonomous driving technologies while not completely removing owners from their proverbial and literal driver's seat.
