Sean Edward Whelan Draws People Out of Japanese Objects

Artist Sean Edward Whelan presents stunning artwork. Through his incredibly intricate pencil illustrations, he creates human forms out of houses, buildings and other structures.

Hailing from Australia, Sean Edward Whelan is currently living and working in Joetsu, Niigata. By day he is an English teacher and by night he works on his stunning illustrations and art. His artwork specifically revolves around the rich texture of traditional Japanese buildings, bridges and lanterns. Sean Edward Whelan has clearly fallen in love with his new surroundings.

Sean Edward Whelan's first solo exhibition was held year earlier this year at No Vacancy Gallery in Melbourne. Hopefully viewers will be seeing more of Edwards intricately detailed work in the near future.
