We are constantly bombarded with more information throughout our days than ever before, which is something the 'Foolamp' sculpture light looks to make a comment on.
While we are constantly being presented with more and more information, our level of retention is not increasing to accommodate which leads to much of this knowledge simply dissipating from our memory within a certain amount of time. This is represented in the 'Foolamp' by correlating the act of absorbing information to eating; the sculpture light has a person figure consuming the wire of the light that ends with the bulb out its rear end. This signifies how the knowledge we have attained can be lost quite quickly almost in the same way that we consume food.
