This highly sculptural interior is designed by Tacklebox Architecture for Portuguese lifestyle brand Claus Porto. The retail space is exceptional both in design and arrangement of product. The vibe is definitely refined and luxurious. Situated in New York City's Nolita neighborhood, the store specializes in premium soap, candles and perfume collections.
Claus Porto's store is alley-like. For the sculptural interior, the Brooklyn-based architectural studio opted in for crinkled walls that subtly offer cultural references to the soap brand's heritage. Made with "1,500 faceted diamond tiles" that were "milled from Portuguese cork," the facade is a subtle hint at the exterior of Casa dos Bicos in Lisbon. The arch, on the other hand, is a reference to "Porto's São Bento train station."
In addition, the crinkled sculptural interior provides ample room for product display.
