Catching a whiff of a certain smell has the potential to take people across time and space, as scent and memory are intrinsically linked—and scented candle smells commonly provide these comforting experiences. While many candles are created to suit specific holidays, seasons or atmospheres, this uncertain period has people feeling nostalgic for experiences that they used to take for granted, such as visiting a summer festival or visiting a movie theater.
