Sam’s Club Receipt Verification Was Announced at CES 2024

This Sam’s Club receipt verification technology was announced by the brand at CES 2024 as a way to expedite the process of helping customers quickly and seamlessly finish off their visit to the warehouse.

The technology leverages the power of artificial intelligence (AI) along with computer vision technology to automatically scan the items in the shopper's cart to ensure all items have been accounted for. The technology is being piloted by the brand at 10 locations and eliminates the process of requiring shoppers to line up to have their receipt checked by an associate.

CEO Chris Nicholas spoke on the Sam’s Club receipt verification technology saying, "This is Sam’s Club at its very best, listening to feedback from members, putting their needs at the center of everything we do – and then applying digital innovations to deliver an industry-leading member experience. We are constantly looking at ways for Sam’s Club to be the most convenient membership club and will continue to prioritize using technology to provide a truly differentiated and delightful experience for our members.”
